I’m Back!

I have had a disappointing start to this year 2022. My initial Doctoral proposal was declined by one of my reviewers. I could see her point and have taken a leave of absence to think over how/what my Doctorate will actually be focused on. I am still exploring maternal mental health in Aotearoa New Zealand but will be taking a different track. In fact I am going back to the beginning and what I was first thinking of doing. Covid 19 has also become very relevant in what I am intending to research. I still find this blog thing hard to keep up and need to make a time to do this at least once a week. Part of my problem is my lack of focus. I find it hard to compartmentalize work, family, study, life into parts to concentrate on. Case in point I am listening in to a lecture so I can talk to my students later, meanwhile marking and writing this! Does anyone else have this problem? I make lists then ignore them or just add more just to sign something off. I have a week off work soon in which I will focus on sorting my days out to keep them more structured. Any hints??
