I am So Close!

My new question/research is almost ready to put forward as a proposal. What a harrowing year it has been. Taking a leave of absence was a great idea, however this year has just flown by and now I only have until the end of this week to complete my proposal (PGR9). I’ve always been a procrastinator but it has reached a whole new level. That work/study/life balance is very uneven with work and life overwhelm any attempts to spend regular time with my research. So this long weekend has been me focusing on just the PGR9,no work just concentrating.

Of course life/family is trumping a lot of that with my daughter needing to rehome her new puppy due to my granddaughters recent diagnosis’. So I now have 2 dogs and my 12 year old dog is taking time to grow used to a bouncing spoodle. Not to mention the grandkids I live with spending a lot of time with the new addition, meaning no matter how many times I ask them to be quite and leave him (and me) alone they are pretty much in my face and his. 🐕

Luckily school is back tomorrow but for Today I am focused on my literature review.

Be all the articles in a table and now need to go through and pick out the relevance to my study to support it. What is my study you may ask? After a LOT of discussions with my supervisors I now have a final (LOL) question/aim/methodology I am happy with.

The working title now is “Preparation for new graduate midwives in AOtearoa NZ for confident, competent perinatal mental health screening: A interpretive descriptive study” any working with ID I would love to hear your stories, tips and tricks. Wish me luck! 😊 👩🏼‍💻
