It has been over a Year since I last wrote anything!! I have had more time off due to mental health issues at the start of the year. Then a busy academic teaching year that never seems to end. But end it will. After over 8 years, I have resigned from my academic post and will be going back to my clinical roots. I am combining my 2 careers into a midwife educator. No more marking or grading (thank heaven for that), no more spending an hour and a half trying to get to and from the Campus, just working with midwife colleagues, improving their education requirements.
So what about my Doctorate? Am I finished? That would be a sorry, no. So my struggle to complete my Doctorate continues. I have completed data gathering and have even begun the analysis. But for some reason, I am struggling to write my Research design chapter. How do I write from my perspective about Interpretive Description without sounding like I am writing a paper on ID (as mt supervisor suggests)??
I have done so much reading, I am not even sure how to start! But enough whining, I will actually try and keep this more updated.
My submission date is now July 2026. Which seems far away, but going by how fast this year has blasted past, I’m sure July will arrive very soon.
